Rump Steak with Onion

Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 25 minutes

Serves 3

Ingredients :

4oz rump steak (sliced)
1 onion (sliced)
2 tablespoons peanut oil
1 crushed clove garlic
5/8 cup hot chicken stock
1/2 teaspoon ginger sherry
pinch each salt, sugar and monosodium glutamate
1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon cornflour
1 dessertspoon cold water

Method :

1. Pour 1 tablespoon oil into the frying-pan and cook the onion and garlic in it until golden brown. Set aside.

2. Fry the meat in the remaining oil for 1 minute.

3. Add the stock, ginger sherry, seasonings and soy sauce into the pan. Boil it until the steaks are tender, then add the cornflour (blended the cornflour with the water) boil for 2 minutes.

4. Whisk in the cooked onion and garlic over the steaks.

5. Ready for serve.
