Japanese Tea Ice Cream

This Japanese Tea Ice Cream is delightfully scrumptious and fun to eat.

Ingredients :

4 egg yolks
3/4 c granulated sugar
2 teaspoon soy sauce
1 2/3 c heavy cream
1/3 c plus 1 teaspoon strongly brewed green tea

Method :

1. In a medium bowl, combine egg yolks with sugar and soy sauce. Beat until well combine.

2. Scald the cream; take off heat and stir in with cold tea.

3. Add egg mixture and cook over very low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

4. Use the blender, freeze it. Stir the mixture a few times for a smoother texture.

5. When mixture is partially frozen, break up the crystals by stirring. The ice cream should be served soft.
