Chicken with White Button Mushrooms

Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : about 10 minutes

Serves : 2-3

Ingredients :

225g boned chicken, cut into (size as same as small onion).
1 small onion
2 oz. cultivated button mushrooms
1tablespoon peanut oil
1/2 teaspoon ginger sherry
5/8 cup chicken stock
pinch each salt, sugar and monosodium glutamate
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon cornflour
1 dessertspoon cold water

Method :

1. Chop the onion. Chop the mushrooms quarterly. After removing all tendons, cut the chicken meat into pieces ( size as same as small onion).

2. Heat the oil in a frying-pan. Cook the onion for 2 minutes at a high heat. Add and fry the chicken pieces for 3-4 minutes.

3. Add the mushrooms and cook them for 1 minute.

4. Sprinkle in the sherry, stock, seasonings and soy sauce and cook for 1 minute.

5. Stir in the cornflour, blended with the water, bring to the boil and simmer for 1 1/2 minutes.

6. Ready for serve.
