Pork with Ground Rice

Serves 4

Ingredients :

1kg belly pork meat (minced)
4cm fresh root ginger (peeled and finely chopped)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons chili sauce
150g coarsely ground rice

Method :

1. Chop the belly pork meat into minced form. Then, mix together with ginger, soy sauce and chili sauce. Then, rub the mixture over the minced meat. Set aside to marinate for 1 hour.

2. Place the ground rice to the heated frying-pan and stir constantly until turn to brown colour.

3. Place the minced pork meat in the pan until fully coated with the rice.

4. Remove from the heat.

5. Place the dish in a steamer, cover and steam over moderate heat for 35 to 40 minutes.

6. Remove the dish from the steamer.

7. Ready for serve.

Remark :

This is a traditional delicious dish served with a variety of dips such as
i) tomato-soy sauce (mix together equal quantities of tomato ketchup and soy sauce)
ii) garlic-soy (finely chop 3 garlic cloves and mix with 4 tablespoons of soy sauce)
iii) soy-sherry-chili (3 tablespoons each of soy sauce and sherry with 1 tablespoon of chili sauce)
